On Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at P.N.C. in the technology building, room 134 please join Math Encounters in putting together the math/literacy kits for each of the MCAS schools. Mary Jane and I have done all the shopping with the lists you created and MCAS purchased the manipulatives for each of the books.
Talk about a math encounter - we had to estimate, problem solve, add, subtract, multiply and divide in order to purchase manipulatives for 12 books for 12 sites.
Please bring the lesson plans you created for the books(so far we have 4 and there are 12 books). Your colleagues are COUNTING on you. After the Math EnCOUNTER workshop you be able to take the kit back to your school and engage your students in many math encounters.

All of my other work was completed for the Math/Literacy activity. I typed the lesson plans using the Stuart Murhpy outline, but then could not do anything with it. Couldn't print, couldn't send, couldn't save, nothing. I guess I just don't know enough about this blogging thing or I am doing something incorrectly.
Andy what you have to do is open the Stuar Murphy outline then copy it and paste it into a new word document. After you save it then email it to djpratt@pnc.edu
